May 4th-13th: Severn Vale Art Trail 2012, various locations
Severn Vale Art Trail 2012
May 4th-13th, various locations extending from Almondsbury to Berkeley on either side of the A38
For the seventh year running, a group of local artists, supported by Castle School Octagon Visual Arts Centre, and use of the facilities at Lion House, The Hatch Camphill Community, The Chantry Thornbury, Thornbury and District Museum, Thornbury Pound Cottage Gallery, Pound Barn Gallery Wickwar, and Thornbury Town Council have come together under the umbrella of Thornbury Arts Festival to take part in the Severn Vale Art Trail. The trail presents a wealth of talent including paintings in oil, watercolour and pastel, ceramics and sculpture, prints and drawings, photography, jewellery, textiles, stained glass and woodturning. From May 4th to May 13th the public are invited to visit the artists in their own studios, or shared exhibition space, to talk about and appreciate the works on display and hopefully to make one or two purchases of work that catches the eye. The exact location and times when the studios will be open can be found by clicking below, or in the glossy Art Trail Guide available from Thornbury Town Hall or Thornbury Library.
